Sweet Potato Pie

Sweet Potato Pie Slice

5″ x 8″, pen & watercolour

A delicious sweet potato pie that I made last week.  I think I prefer sweet potato pie over pumpkin pie, although I would never turn down a slice of the latter if offered.  Sweet potato pie doesn’t taste as sweet to me, at least the way I make it.  I think maybe pumpkin pies are sweeter to help cut the vegetal taste.

Little Soy Fish

soy-fish

5″ x 8″, watercolour & pen

This little takeaway soy fish is not such a common sight anymore.  Especially one that is lighter on sodium, which I think the green cap indicates.  It’s more common to see packets of soy sauce tucked into takeaway sushi plates.

Tea of Choice

King Cole Tea

5″ x 8″, pen & watercolour

This is my usual tea of choice:  orange pekoe tea packed in gauze tea bags by King Cole of New Brunswick, Canada.  I had my first taste of it when I worked for the CBC courtesy of the tea-drinking ladies I used to sit near.  The flavour and aroma is wonderful, especially for a packaged tea at such a great low price.

Paper Tag

5″ x 8″, pencil, pen & watercolour

I’ve had this paper tag from a pair of jeans for quite some time.  I’ve always liked the look of the string, stamped serial number and paper altogether.
