This little bag was one of many little mementos from a friend of mine who was in Holland for a conference many years ago. “Eet smakelijk” is the Dutch equivalent of “bon appétit” or “enjoy your meal.”

This is my Pentel Pocket Brush GFKP. It’s one of the best pens I’ve ever used for sketching. The tip is very fine and flexible and the ink is permanent and fade resistant. It saves me from having to set up my pens, brushes and bottle of ink each time I feel like doing a quick sketch. I’ve made it look a little bit stumpy, but it was a quick sketch.

LAMY fountain pen & watercolour
This is my newly acquired LAMY Safari Fountain pen. I can get a medium to fine line using the pen depending on how I hold the pen.
They were out of Noodler’s Polar Black Bulletproof Eel Fountain Pen Ink at the shop, so I filled the converter with the waterproof/fade proof ink that I had on hand. I have to give it a few test runs on scrap paper if I’ve left the pen sitting for a while, but it seems fine otherwise. The Noodlers ink would have been smooth flowing.

This is the plastic spaghetti measure that we use because we’re not good at gauging what a serving for two looks like precooked. One of my cousins once laughed at an uncle because he had one in the drawer. Well, we own one too, but we use it regularly.
